A Prayer for Old Friends

VICAR

Dear Readers of Country Squire Magazine, I trust You are well and healthy. Please remember to pray for the Ukrainians this week.

Also this week I want You to think about old friends. Whoever comes into Your head, please pray for them using the Catholic Prayer from France, below.

We all of us have old friends who we have failed to keep in touch with. Perhaps we have fallen out over a relationship breakdown or moved away from them. As we get older, we realise that when we were friends we had so much in common. Now maybe we have little in common or there’s another reason why we are no longer in touch.

Colossians 3:13
Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

Please pray for old friends. God Bless You and them. Have a peaceful and prosperous week ahead.

Blessed Mother of those whose names you can read in my heart, watch over them with every care. Make their way easy and their labours fruitful. Dry their tears if they weep; sanctify their joys; raise their courage if they weaken; restore their hope if they lose heart, their health if they be ill, truth if they err, and repentance if they fall. Amen
