Millions of dollars of taxpayers’ money spent on changing the sex of mice – surely that’s just Donald Trump’s unsubstantiated bluster to please his following? According to CNN, there was no truth in this claim, and the broadcaster delighted in marking the president’s homework as a failure. However, undeniable documentary evidence showed that this research was indeed conducted with federal funding.
Trump mentioned the gender-bending rodent study in his address to a joint session of Congress a few days ago, as an example of the obscene waste of public money by government departments, driven by subversive ideology. A CNN fact-check stated that:
The satirical Libs of TikTok highlighted the backtracking on X: –
Trump falsely claimed’ expenditure of $8 million ‘for making mice transgender’. In response, the White House presented receipts for $8.3 million for ‘studies that involve mice receiving treatments that can be used in gender-affirming health care’.
CNN just quietly edited their “fact check” article after they reported that Trump’s statement on spending $8 million for making mice transgender was “false.” It sounds so crazy that they thought Trump made it up…It’s 100% true and now even CNN is forced to admit it.’
Experiments with innocent animals, to support radical and extremely harmful surgery on children, is worse than anything imagined by Mary Shelley. Frankenstein was only one monster; deranged Cultural Marxists in positions of power want to create a multitude of intermediate sex. They don’t want too much attention being drawn to their sinister agenda. But the narrative must be maintained if challenged, and fact-checkers will never really back down.
CNN argued that Trump’s assertion was still misleading, because it lacked context: ‘the studies were meant to figure out how these treatments might affect the health of humans who take them, not for the purpose of making mice transgender’.
The fact-checking industry, which arose in Trump’s first presidential term and grew like Topsy during the Covid-19 debacle, has by now been so discredited that only fools or the ideologically blinded would take its output seriously. The raison d’être is to suppress truth.
The word ‘check’ has two related meanings. The first is to verify; the second is to control. Think Checkpoint Charlie. The powers-that-be have no interest in enlightening the public: they want to check the spread of knowledge. But the ordinary people are waking up.
In a Substack essay, NS Lyons explains: –
After Donald Trump’s election in 2016, America’s panicked establishment elites reacted by attempting to construct a system for managing public opinion through strict control of information, especially online information. The idea was that growing public support for populism was fueled by “low-information voters” and their consumption of “misinformation” and “disinformation,” including from foreign actors, and that if their “information diet” could just be controlled then they would stop voting wrong.’
The constitutional right to free speech was circumvented by getting the private companies of Big Tech to police content, while allowing the EU to regulate not only within its borders but across the worldwide web. Fact-checkers played an important part in the censorship regime. This counter-populist system was developed as a global project at the Christchurch Call to Action summit, led by New Zealand prime minister Jacinda Ardern after the terror attack. Infamously, Ardern told Kiwis during the purported pandemic that the government was their only source of truth.
Hundreds of fact-checking organisations were given power far beyond issuing corrections. They have coordinated campaigns to defund political opponents by pressuring advertisers into boycotting dissenting personalities and websites. The Center for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH), a British left-wing body, has been particularly effective against truth-tellers on topics such as immigration. CCDH drove many advertisers from Twitter after its acquisition by Elon Musk, a leaked document later revealing its strategy to ‘kill Musk’s Twitter’.
The tide has turned with the new US administration. The Department of Justice is considering action against CCDH therefore for engaging in a coordinated campaign while failing to register as the agent of a foreign power (the UK). As Lyons asserts, the role of fact-checkers and disinformation / hate monitors is ‘to distort and control the factual information and narratives reaching the public’. The fact-checking complex is nothing but a political weapon, and now its forces find themselves in a precarious salient.
Mice squeal.
