My Quill’s Moonlight Love

BY MAHIMA SHARMA

Metaphors of the Moon….

And the countdown to a twinkling Night,

The Night knows nothing, while the Quill scribbles love notes,

Verses soaked in the Moonlight or the Stardust?

The Sky inks the beauty…with Moonlight Love!

As the Wind sings familiar melodies from its ancient book,

The trees sway with joy to the green rhythm of life,

The full Moon rests at the neighbouring roof,

Like a pot with beaming ink!

Shadows playing hide-and-seek under the bright Moonlight,

While I rejoice its beauty…which is unfathomable since ancient times,

Flowers sleep in my garden, while petals dream of Sunlight…

But my Quill dances to the ink, derived from the enchanting Moonlight.

As poetry flows through my pen,

I watch the Moon drifting through the night,

Leaving behind a trail of Stars and Stardust,

That sprinkles across the dark, giving me cheer of hope!

Holding the Quill, I let the emotions flow…

Holding a thumping heart, I let the love glow…

The love for the Moon, forever and ever to swoon…

A Quill dipped in Moonlight Love…dancing to the Moon’s tune!
