The Left is Lost

BY PAUL NEWALL

These days our headlines seem to be filled with angry females, from a tearful Greta Thunberg lecturing the UN on how we’re all doomed – to Jess Phillips virtually lapel-strangling Boris Johnson in the House of Commons. The late Jo Cox even cropped up in a Commons debate where we were told that the language of Brexiteers was endangering lives. Of course they ignore the inflammatory nature of the language used against leavers (I’m thinking of changing my name to “Gammon faced neo-Nazi fascist b*stard” to cut out the middleman).

How sorry I feel for Greta – a kid that has been systematically brainwashed by her Antifa activist parents into believing that the world is plummeting into eco-disaster. If her performance in New York seemed legitimate, it should be noted that her father is an actor and her grandfather is an actor and director. The 2020 Oscars need an additional category for best performance in apocalyptic prophecy speech. One of her supporters – Bjorn Lomborg – has called for the abandonment of democracy because, apparently, the environment will fare better under a dictatorship where car ownership, meat-eating and foreign travel can effectively be rationed – interestingly, the Labour Party conference in Brighton struck an identical chord.

After a suspiciously unanimous Supreme Court decision overturned Boris Johnson’s proroguing of parliament last week, we were of course treated to a popcorntastic performance art exhibit of snarling remainers being swatted like flies by nonchalant giants Geoffrey Cox and Boris Johnson. Jess Phillips apparently had a full-on finger-wagging meltdown outside of the chamber which unfortunately the cameras didn’t capture, but which no doubt had Boris’ security detail reaching for their Glocks.

Amusing as all this theatre might be, there is a serious point to these apparently unconnected episodes…

Thanks to the internet the average Joe in the street is better informed than ever and the shell game which the Left has been cleverly ramping up over the last three decades is being shown for the con that it is. The climate emergency has been debunked countless times, the EU has been exposed – like the fabled emperor to have no clothes – and globalisation has been shown to be no more than a plan to use human beings as hardware in a planned economic program where their lives are reduced to the same level as worker ants.

How can charity boss David Miliband sleep at night taking in a salary of over a million quid? How can the Labour party placers across NGOs face themselves in the mirror also living off charitable donations? How can senior Labour cadres who have robbed unions declare investigations into their crimes as “outrageous”? The Left is lost, and it deserves to lose.

The good guys today are the ones fighting for free speech and expression, for individuality, for a sovereign nation-state. The choice we will be facing at the next GE will be stark, do we vote for freedom or do we vote to slap on the chains and form an orderly queue at the local gulag? And if you think I’m being hyperbolic go onto YouTube and watch the speeches at the Labour Party conference. It is true to say that the levers of power in many western socialist movements have been seized by Trotskyites who want to abandon democracy for dictatorship, freedom for serfdom and social mobility for the misery of equality of outcome. You watch. We’ll be checking our social credit next. Is that a future anyone can risk in this great country of ours which always rejected the communists?

Paul Newall is a child of the 1960’s from a traditional Labour-supporting household. Paul dabbled with Trotskyism in the 1980’s but then “grew up and thanks to having responsibilities I slowly migrated across the political spectrum until instead of hating Maggie Thatcher I admired her for beating my side in the miners’ strike”.
