Dear Readers of Country Squire Magazine, I trust that You are well. As these hot summer days continue, I pray that You are getting some downtime and that work is going well.
This week I would like to focus on a prayer that You can learn off by heart to add to your daily prayers.
Prayer isn’t a ritual that depends on closing our eyes and putting on holy faces. We don’t have to kneel or sit. We can pray while walking, driving, or working. God responds to a two word cry for help in the middle of a busy afternoon, just like He does to a focused prayer time after reading Scripture in the morning. Praying doesn’t have to be complicated. God delights in any simple words we offer Him.
Try the following short and memorable prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your guidance. Forgive me for getting ahead of Your plans, and help me know when to stop and listen for Your direction. Your ways are perfect, Lord. Thank You for offering gentle grace. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Another good one is Psalm 25:4-5:
“Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Saviour, and my hope is in you all day long.”
I wish You another successful week ahead and a peaceful Sunday today. God bless You all.
