VICAR
Dear Readers of Country Squire Magazine I trust that You and Your families are well and happy. This week I would like for You to appreciate Your friends and to pray for them.
Never underestimate the power of your actions. With one small gesture You can change a person’s life for better or worse. God puts Us all in each other’s lives to impact one another in some way. So, look for God in others.
I am reminded of the schoolboy taking the huge pile of books home on a Friday after class, how he was bullied on the school bus home for being a nerd. Another boy stepped in and defended him, making the boy his lifelong friend. Later the friend admitted he was taking his books home so his parents would not need to clear out his locker after he had committed suicide that weekend. He had been that unhappy. The other boy’s kind gesture had saved him.
As written in Colossians 3:12-13, ‘Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you’.
Try to clothe Yourself in compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Try to be patient with friends, and to forgive freely like Jesus has forgiven You.
I wish You a peaceful Sunday and a pleasant week ahead. Be well. God bless You all.
May I shine your light in my friendships, giving glory to you through all that I do, say, and think. Thank you for my friends, Jesus. Thank you for the ways they build me up and remind me of your goodness and faithfulness. In your name I pray, Amen.
