With the impending prospect of a Labour Government breathing down our necks, it is high time to unpack the real implications of this and the real cut of their collectivised jib. One of the first myths that needs to be squashed is that there is a difference between being ‘Woke’ and being ‘Left’. I’ll start with how US rightist commentator Curtis Yarvin (Gray Mirror) puts it: –

‘Though some may find it crazy, to me this unified-field theory of leftism is a beautiful synthesis. It is simply the null hypothesis. We should not have to prove that liberalism and communism are the same thing. They should have to prove that they are different. This is especially difficult when they both call themselves “progressive.”’

Wokeness is at the epicentre of Leftism in the 21^st Century. The attempt to cherry-pick out the bits of Wokeism that liberals and some on the Left find unpalatable, like the homophobia and misogyny of Gender Ideology and Trans Rights Activism, is hypocritical and futile. The Left defines itself in terms of identity politics and post-modern Critical Theories. It has pioneered a set of bogus ideas like ‘cultural appropriation’, which backfire spectacularly when put under scrutiny. The theory of cultural relativism falls apart when multiculturalism in the context of non-integrative approaches, that is when there is no expectation or requirement to adapt to the host nations culture and traditions, leads to segregation, sectarianism, ghettoization and balkanisation.

Curtis Yarvin again:

‘Is “woke,” in some way, the same thing as “progressive”? Is “progressive,” in some way, the same thing as “communist”? Are they all some variety of “left” or “Marxist”? You sound like Tony Soprano telling his daughter there’s no such thing as the Mafia.’

Woke is the new Mafia and tries to pretend that it isn’t. All the hallmarks are there, however. You will soon find the Heavies knocking on your door if you stray from the Woke orthodoxy. You will find yourself having their protection withdrawn from you if you don’t pay your dues to the Cult and keep your mouth shut. For the sake Diversity. If they have their way you will find your social credit rating downgraded and even your assets frozen. Chinese social control and soft colonialism is the Western Left’s wet dream.

There was an attempt by the Left to assert that ‘Wokeness’ is a delusion dreamt up by the Right to try and undermine Equality and Inclusion. This is of course pure DARVO, which amounts to accusing your opponents of things that you yourselves are much more guilty of. Their politics is inherently divisive in that it puts groups into identity categories and labelled boxes and then sorts them according to a hierarchy of oppression. A scale of worthiness dependent not on character but on immutable characteristics. The result is inevitable. Rats squabbling in a rainbow-coloured sack. Unseemly rank-pulling, like greedy people grabbing as much booty as they can at a price-slashing sale. My Daddy’s more oppressed than your Daddy.  

This is of course all well-trawled but needs reiterating because we will be lumbered with a government that wholeheartedly believes in all of it. The infantilism of the Left is increasingly to the fore and is typified by a smothering mothering socialism and the need for ‘safe spaces’, soyboy men and the primacy of feelings over facts which typifies the new Left mindset. Actual masculinity and objectivity is derided as toxic. The Right’s modus operandi that Big Dick Daddy will protect you seems far preferable.

The Left always eats its own. So do Islamists. Without Israel as an outlet that syndrome would escalate. They are both underpinned by overt factionalism and ridiculously arcane arguments about who are the purist, who has the most correct interpretation of Marx/Islam etc.

The Left have also entirely bought into globalisation and the ambition towards a New World Order. There has been an abandonment of support for the Nation State and the ability of ordinary people to control their own destiny. So complete is the Left’s betrayal of the white working class that mention of this brands you a racist. ‘Far Right’ is thrown around like confetti to smear anyone who strays from the Woke/Commie narrative. Fortunately, this is so transparently bogus and infantile that more and more people are seeing through it and could care less about the label.

So, all this neo-communism and cultural Marxism will be to the fore under a Labour Government. Maomentum will rejuvenate their grip on the Labour backbenches and the big unions will flex their muscles. The Labour election manifesto reads like Statist totalitarianism. All issues and problems are approached with a requirement to have more bureaucracy and more centralised State control. All managed by more unelected Quangos and NGO’s and overseen by ministers and Civil servants who govern according to the kind of Blairite managerialism that created the problems and dysfunction in the first place. This amounts to a massive State power grab. The intention is clear. To make the people, that is ‘clients’ and ‘stakeholders’, ever more reliant on the State.

However, this will be a government that is too incompetent to govern and have no idea how to create the wealth needed to pay for their projects. Exhibit A. They plan to create a Sovereign Wealth Fund based on revenues from gas and oil, like Norway, but they also plan to run down the gas and oil industries and reduce reliance on fossil fuels and sign up to Net Zero. What will be the furthest to the Left government since the 1960’s Wilson administration, are expected to spook the markets. For essentially the converse reason that Liz Truss spooked them. She and Kwarteng fell foul to a banker’s coup, which illustrates who else is really in charge. However, Britain just can’t keep on borrowing money to fund government spending or pay for tax cuts. Our national debt is getting to the point where it will become too expensive to maintain. This will force swingeing cuts in government spending and likely large tax increases anyway.

Labour will also give the venal and undemocratic Uncivil Service carte blanche to undermine the will of the people even more. With key departments being stuffed with Europhiles and Blairites, the undermining of Brexit will continue apace.

Labour will also squeeze the middle-classes till the pips squeak through higher taxes and a raid on private pensions. Even more dangerous than people who have nothing to lose, are those with everything to lose. If they bring in rent controls the value of houses will go down as landlords flood the market to offload their less than fungible assets. The middle-classes will find that there will be no return to the unsustainable year on year increase in the value of their houses. On the contrary, their lifestyle in general, being able to afford private education for their sprogs, for example, is going to be a thing of the past.

As an adjunct to all this is that there is a big problem in Britain with white, middle-class, middle-aged Woke/Lefty/Liberal women in positions of power and influence. Their handwringing approach to Trans, Race, Gender and Green issues is risible.  It is ridden with guilt and emotionality and prioritises feelings over reality, subjective navel-gazing over facts and objectivity. To make policy on this basis is a recipe for inertia and confusion and an inability to make decisions or think clearly. Moreover, the men around them are mostly weak-minded cowards who fear being labelled sexist and misogynistic and so they go unchallenged. These women’s whiteness and middle-class ‘privilege’ for instance, gets side-lined and is off limits for discussion, when it is central to their having a powerful platform in the first place. They don’t seem willing to hand over the mic anytime soon. One of the ironies in all this is that these same women and men support the bogus ‘Trans Rights’ agenda and often endorse the inclusion of biological men in women’s sport thus undermining the position of girls and women. The fact that this is a totally unfair form of cheating and one-way traffic in favour of these men seems to elude them. But this is just one example of what happens when you eschew facts and realities and end up with distorted and contradictory positions.

We have now the prospect of a government that exemplifies and amplifies this approach and imposes policies that cause further confusion and disarray. They will not leave the ECHR and so the government of this country will continue to preside over mass illegal immigration and be unable to deport anybody who arrives on our shores. Indeed, a Labour administration is likely to encourage it for the shallowest of political reasons, like the cynical policy to give the vote to young adolescents. The irony with this is that young people, lads in particular, are steadily moving to the Right in response to their disillusionment with mainstream Woke/Lefty politics.

There is a growing population of voters who are politically homeless and are ostracised and alienated. The turnout at the upcoming GE is likely to be the lowest on record, which will suit those who don’t care about mandates, but will lead to a lot more social unrest. Bring it on. It’s high-time patriots took back our country. After all, Commies don’t really believe in democracy or elections. I’ve never met a Marxist who isn’t a control freak on both a personal and public level. The Labour intake as Douglas Murray points out in the Telegraph is likely to get selected as a moderate and then be red in tooth and claw once in the Commons. Starmer was a Trotskyite dontchaknow. As the Trots in the BBC exemplify, these leopards rarely change their spots, and revert to type when they get a whiff of power.

An ultra-Left Labour government will be at odds with the rest of Europe, which is rightly moving to the Right in response to the failure of the Liberal project, multikulturalism, the mass importation of Jihadist Islam as exemplified on the streets of London and Europe with their calls for an Intifada. The impotence of the authorities to quell any of this and give the impression of running scared, or even implicit condonement of it, has given rise to a level of dissent from ordinary people that will only increase. There have been arrests and crackdowns on Jihadist demos and campus occupations for instance on the Continent, but our authorities are still reluctant to get tough. Does anyone have any confidence in a Labour Home Secretary like Yvette ‘Refugees Welcome’ Cooper doing this?

The timely and genuinely peaceful recent Patriots demo in London is set to become an ongoing feature, but what will a Labour government’s attitude be towards this? They risk alienating the Muslim base whose votes they cravenly rely on if they endorse it at the same time as getting tough with Jihadist marches. The fact that leading Labour front benchers like Wes Streeting knee-jerk towards labelling patriots as ‘Far Right’ does not bode well.
