I am often tagged as ‘too modern to handle’

Because respect and dignity comes above the love handle!

I am often tagged as ‘too modern to handle’

Because ‘self-belief’ is my only candle!

 

Free opinion and an in-your-face person,

Perhaps means ‘good relations’ will always worsen!

But my head, was never designed to nod,

It has a brain…a mind perhaps too broad!

 

I am open to lend you a patient ear,

But don’t cross the line…I am one lioness who you must fear!

Respect me for who I am,

And I will welcome you with open arms,

Comparisons and irrelevant equations,

But don’t dare to impose your dictations.

 

Oh yes, I agree I am too modern to handle,

Because I have a speech that is free and fearless,

Oh yes, I agree that I am too modern to handle,

Because I protest a society that is ignorant and careless.

 

With an ‘Audacity to Speak Out’

Don’t expect me to sell you ‘Sugar Candies’

With a heart to reach out to,

Expect me only to spell genuine Love,

 

I have trashed the rules, that make me regressive

I have learnt to speak out, even if you label me aggressive,

Because I am not your PINK girl,

I am a Rainbow Woman,

 

Modernity is all about ideologies,

About changing and evolving ourselves

So, I am modern woman….because I live and let live.
