Bring on the Turnips

BY PAUL NEWALL

So on Friday there was a strike by some schoolchildren in protest at climate change – and how the Guardianistas loved it. It was interesting to see Generation Meh put down their smart phones and take some interest in the world they live in for once.

The motivation behind this renewed interest is somewhat more malign. If you look closely at photographs of the middle class Ruperts and Vanessas fighting for our ecosystem, you’ll see many of the little darlings are holding Socialist Worker Party placards. These children – and future voters – are being deeply influenced by a middle class Trotskyite communist party with a crisis about rape. And hardly anyone has called it out for messing with our kids’ minds .

Our children are being brainwashed by activist teachers and it’s being done with the connivance of our Department of Education. See how many of the protesters’ parents get fined for unauthorised absences – none.

Meanwhile over the pond in the US we saw the launch of the Green New Deal, a word play on FDR’ s New Deal from 1933. In the New Deal huge investment in infrastructure was initiated in order to kick start the US economy which was still in the gutter following the Wall Street crash of 1929 .

This new initiative has been launched by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez , the pulchritudinous and IQ-challenged new Congress person for the Queens Borough of NYC. The Green New Deal has three major prongs – to make all energy renewable by 2031 which includes putting solar panels on every building in the country, to revolutionise agriculture by removing all farm animals (and their methane emissions), and to create a light railway system that will remove the need for internal air transport within the US. The paper isn’t costed but a top end income tax rate of 70% has been muted and as anyone with experience of socialism knows, tax hikes, like excrement, run down hill.

The reason this article links these two phenomena is simple. There are communists in our midst and, post 2008, they feel emboldened. They are attempting to grasp the imagination of gullible Year Zero teenagers by all at once scaring the bejesus out of them with climate disaster and giving them a fact free pseudoscientific solution that they hope will usher in a new era of turnip production and gulags. The fall of capitalism.

The start of this attempted revolution has its origins earlier this decade with two magic granddads. The communists noted the enthusiasm amongst the youth generated by Jeremy Corbyn on this side of the pond and Bernie Sanders on the other. Both of these class warrior millionaires made the right noises about social justice and how big business is destroying the planet and the eyes of the Instagram generation opened. No traction with the mature? Go for the kids. Put a pretty face on the posters like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez instead of Bernie or say Ash Sarkar instead of Jeremy and you could be on to a winner.

If we were to “save the world ” it would involve a new Cultural Revolution in every sense of the term, Cortez and her new deal has an estimated cost into the tens of trillions of dollars. And that’s before the inevitable corruption that socialism brings. We would also be forced to become vegan on account of there being no methane-emitting farm animals, though there might well be an increase in methane production by humans (why do greens never factor in such green gas?).

The very same forces that are trying to scare us away from Brexit or Trump because they are racist and evil are trying to shape our energy and agricultural industries and let’s face it, this has absolutely nothing to do with making the world a better place. It’s all about political power and winning over future voters. Tony Blair spoke often about the politics of behaviour and in the current instance the brainwashing of our children by these Pied Pipers of Communism is the biggest attempt at a power grab in human history.

In one fell swoop the communists want to control how we live, what we say and think, and determine what we eat. However, there’s a fundamental problem – it won’t work. These people are inept and malevolent so the bright-eyed children that were singing “F*ck Teresa May ” and “Oh Jeremy Corbyn” on Friday to that old White lines Trope will be the first to suffer when the lights go out when they reach adulthood, left chewing on turnips.
