VICAR
Dear Readers of Country Squire Magazine, I trust that You and Your families are well and happy; that you have managed to relax Your bones at some point over these summer months.
Wisdom is one of those qualities that is difficult to define—because it encompasses so much—but which people generally recognise when they encounter it. What does the dictionary say about it? Wisdom, sapience, or sagacity is the ability to think and act using knowledge, experience, understanding, common sense and insight.
I see people making horrible choices all the time. They are often led into those choices so they have some kind of mitigation on their side. Still, why is wisdom so far away for so many of us? Why don’t we let the Holy Spirit into our lives, ponder a brief while, and make informed decisions, which are undoubtedly wise?
When I need to make a decision I go inside the church when it is quiet and I ask for assistance. Others go to Starbucks or for a dog walk. Most just get on with it. However You make Your decisions maybe rethink the process if Life’s on top of You?
This week let us pray for wisdom. For our leaders, for our compatriots and for our friends and family wherever they are. I wish You all a blessed week and I send You my best wishes. God Bless.
Dear Lord,
Please give us wisdom
We desperately need wisdom in virtually every aspect of life.
In our relationships.
In our finances.
In life’s decisions.
Certainly in our marriages.
In our places of employment.
And perhaps most of all, in our parenting.
We thanks You Lord
Amen
