VICAR
Dear Readers of Country Squire Magazine I trust that You are well and that You and Your families are enjoying a happy start to the decade.
I am sure You started the year with new hopes and full of gusto. Perhaps Your plans are taking shape. Perhaps they are more of a struggle than You had hoped. Well-laid plans need a good blend of hope and reality.
If You are already having doubts about Your direction in life then use Sunday as a time for pause. Prayer may be the answer to Your difficulties. Maybe You are not answering the knock on the door.
The prayer below is for those who think they are on track. Also, it’s a prayer for those who are lost. For the majority of us in between it is a good prayer also.
Take time out today or tomorrow to visit a church or find somewhere quiet and peaceful. There You can read this prayer and then see what happens. You have nothing to lose. You have all to gain.
God Bless You All. Have a superb Sunday and an excellent week to come. Note: if You don’t have a windscreen scraper, You may need one for the week ahead.
Lord,
I’m here today with open hands and an open heart, ready to depend on you to help me through the day and all it will bring my way. Help me be like Nehemiah, help me come to you for guidance, strength, provision and protection. As I face tough choices and hard situations, help me remember my belovedness, help me remember that I am Your child and Your representative to the world around me. Help me live today in a way that brings honour to Your holy name. In Jesus’ Name,
Amen.
