A Prayer for the Lost

Dear Readers of Country Squire Magazine, I trust that You are well and surviving Storm Ciara, which seems to be gathering strength outside as I type this week’s prayer on my keyboard.

This week I would like You to think of those You know who are lost. People who have no idea of the direction they are headed, nor cognisance of what is required to establish a sense of stability and order in their lives. Perhaps they are resigned, perhaps they are confused? Perhaps they are mourning or hurting for some reason? Perhaps they are envious or bitter? It may be they have recently become a parent or been divorced? We all know people who are buffeted by life’s events rather than plotting a steady course through them. Maybe You are lost?

Ask God:

“I think I’m lost. I really don’t know how to live the rest of my life. I feel hopeless and depressed, with no goals or dreams. What should I do?”

Be honest as to why:

“I hate my job, have no passion for it whatsoever.”
“I’m not getting enough human contact and none of satisfying relationship.”
“My partner doesn’t love me anymore.”
“I feel so alone and lonely.”

There are so many more reasons for feeling lost. From my experience it all boils down to one thing: the main reason for all of these problems is a lack of love. To get more love in our lives We must pray. We can unblock the path ahead by using the prayer below. We will then find the raison d’etre which we are lacking.

I wish You all a good week ahead. Stay safe. Please pray. God Bless.

Lord, we ask that you would halt the plans of the enemy over these we love as we bring them before you right now.  We pray that his schemes be demolished and that your plans for good, for a future and hope, will prevail. Please open these blind eyes that they might see your Truth. Please rescue those walking in darkness and heal the deep wounds of those who’ve been hurt. Please light the path from which We Humans so easily stray. Please prepare us for death at the end of that path.
