VICAR
Dear Readers of Country Squire Magazine, I trust that You are well. This week I have sensed a change in the air, as autumn descends. The farmers are busy around here completing harvest and the children are back at school. There is a normality about after a year and a half of extraordinary circumstances. Let us hope that We are over the worst of the pain.
This week I’d like to pray for those with cancer.
We know it’s a worrying time for people with cancer, there is information to help. As I do not suffer from cancer and because my loved ones are also cancer free, I am not going to comment in lieu of experts or those who suffer from it. All We can do as bystanders is pray and assist these people in the community as much as possible. Also We can do well to learn from human endurance. There is great strength in people if You care to notice. Have the empathy to care and notice.
God Bless You all.
I wish You all a wonderful Sunday and a good week ahead. Be well and blessed.
Jesus Christ, my Lord and Saviour, You became man and died
on the cross for our salvation. You healed people of sickness and
affliction through Your love and compassion. Visit Cancer patients, Lord and
grant them strength to bear this sickness with which they are afflicted,
with patience, submission to Your will and trust in Your loving care.
I pray that You will bless the means used for their recovery and those who
administer them. Grant that their sickness may be to their spiritual benefit
and that they may live the rest of their life more faithfully according to Your
will. For You are the source of life and healing and to You I give praise
and glory, now and forever.
Amen
