A Prayer for Transformation

Dear Readers of Country Squire Magazine, I trust that You are well and healthy.

This Sunday let us pray for transformation in our lives. Pray to release your own attempts to control your life and allow God to lead you. Ask God to show you the path to His better future for Your life, for He is the God of your salvation and the one who wants the best for Your life.

In what ways can You ameliorate?

Just this week I was talking to a man in his sixties who told me that he had lost his way. He was brimming with hate. He described how his life was meaningless now. How he no longer got on with the mother of his children. How his children were ashamed of him and how he took out his anger on those around him who in his eyes had it all. How his work life was in tatters. How he had fallen into bad company and become idle when before he was the model citizen, getting up early and walking down the hill to catch the train to work.

What can one tell a miserable old man?

There is little save what underlies Christianity to offer him. That should meet all his needs. He should open his eyes and his heart. Will he do so? Let us hope that as soon as possible that knock at the door comes that will change his life and bad attitude forever.

Revelation 3:20

Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.

Have a peaceful Sunday and a wonderful, happy week to come. God Bless You all. Remember, life could be worse for You. Look up not down. Seek forgiveness and disassociate from those lost souls who drag You down in the direction of hell.

Blessed are you, Sovereign Lord,
the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
to you be glory and praise for ever.
From the deep waters of death
you brought your people to new birth
by raising your Son to life in triumph.
Through him dark death has been destroyed
and radiant life is everywhere restored.
As you call us out of darkness into his marvellous light
may our lives reflect his glory
and our lips repeat the endless song.
Blessed be God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
All Blessed be God for ever.
