VICAR
Dear Readers of Country Squire Magazine, I hope You are well this Sunday in our green and pleasant land, as the rain falls, again.
This week I want to focus on those who are adventurous, without whom our world would be a far less civilised place. We as humans must explore. We must see and discover new things or we degenerate. God made us this way.
It may be that you’ve forgotten God built you to explore. Repent. Then do something new. Maybe you need to go for a walk, look at the moon, and remember that you’re alive and so is God. There are plenty of hints in the Bible:
1 Corinthians 10:31
So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. Read In Context

Colossians 3:17
And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
1 Peter 4:11
whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies—in order that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
What is it that You can do that echoes the glory of God? What is there left for You to explore? What about exploring Your faith? The prayer of St Brendan below should help You on Your way.
God Bless You All. Have a peaceful Sunday and another superb week to come.
PRAYER OF ST. BRENDAN
Help me to journey beyond the familiarand into the unknown. Give me the faith to leave old ways and break fresh ground with You. Christ of the mysteries, I trust You to be stronger than each storm within me. I will trust in the darkness and know that my times, even now, are in Your hand. Tune my spirit to the music of heaven, and somehow, make my obedience count for You. Amen
