Dear Readers of Country Squire Magazine, I trust that You are well this January Sunday morning. As I sit here the temperature outside is in the minus and I fear for our homeless who I pray have found somewhere warm to bed down overnight.

This week I would ask that You pray for the hungry.

49 million people in 43 countries across the globe are at risk of falling into famine or a severe hunger crisis. Globally, almost one in ten people go to bed hungry every night. 3 billion people can’t afford a healthy, nutritious diet. (Action Against Hunger)

So, let us pray for those who are hungry. Let us thank God for the food that We have on Our plate, as We enjoy a Sunday roast or go out for a meal.

Have a peaceful and loving Sunday as well as another great week ahead. God Bless You all.

Faithful God, we pray for everyone who will not have enough food to eat today, those we strive to help in our own community, and those who are far away.  We pray for all the aid agencies around the world who are trying to bring relief to so many millions of people that they will receive the funds they need to continue their work, not get caught up in political biases and avoid corrupt practice. Amen
