Dear Readers of Country Squire Magazine, I trust that You and Your families are well and that You are enjoying the summer weather. This week I’d like us to remember those who are addicted to alcohol, drugs or something else, who need our prayers.

“No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.” (1 Cor 10:13) God will always give you the strength to stay sober if you trust in him.

I bow before You, Lord God, placing my friends who are battling addiction into Your loving hands. Almighty God, I ask for Your mercy and grace to touch their hearts and bring healing into their lives. Lord, please give them strength to break free from the chains that bind them and guide them towards hope and renewal. Amen
