VICAR
Dear Readers of Country Squire Magazine, I trust that You are well this July morning. As holidaymakers in Rhodes escape forest fires and Russian missiles land on Odessa, let us pray for those worse off than Us today.
To help You pray I have listed some gobbets from the Bible below which will help guide You:
Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your bountiful provisions and the marvellous opportunities You present to me daily. Your light guides me through darkness, and I ask for the grace to be more thankful each day, in the mighty name of Jesus. (Psalm 136:1)
My Father, I humbly come before You, seeking forgiveness for my sins. Wash me clean and show me Your mercy, O Lord, in the name of Jesus. (1 John 1:9)
Abba Father, grant me wisdom to fear You and walk in reverence before Your majesty, in the mighty name of Jesus. (Proverbs 9:10)
Oh Lord, help me to diligently obey Your commands and keep away from all forms of evil, in the name of Jesus. (Proverbs 3:7)
Father, as I fear You and study Your Word, I pray that You reveal Your mysteries and secrets to me, in the name of Jesus. (Proverbs 2:1-5)
Lord, I desire to be genuine and obedient, knowing that You cherish sincere hearts. Grant me the grace to obey Your instructions and receive divine rewards, in the mighty name of Jesus. (1 Samuel 15:22)
Father, may Your Word take root in my heart, igniting a strong and unwavering faith. Let disobedience and unbelief be far from me, in the name of Jesus. (Romans 10:17)
Lord Almighty, as I seek Your face continuously, not just Your blessings, reveal great revelations to me that will transform my life for good, in the mighty name of Jesus. (Jeremiah 33:3)
Oh Lord, help me amass heavenly treasures by investing in eternal things rather than solely pursuing earthly wealth, which fades away, in the name of Jesus. (Matthew 6:19-20)
Lord, I pray that my focus remains on heavenly treasures, and I find contentment with what I have, in the name of Jesus. (Philippians 4:11-12)
Oh Lord, as I abide in You, help me bear fruits that glorify Your name, and let my fruits remain and bring forth lasting impact, in Jesus’ name. (John 15:5)
I wish You well with Your prayers. God Bless You this Sunday. Have a great week to come.
For the Lord will again take delight in prospering you, just as he delighted in prospering your ancestors, when you obey the Lord your God by observing his commandments and decrees that are written in this book of the law, because you turn to the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul. Amen
