VICAR
As we gather on this Fifth Sunday of Lent, we find ourselves in a sacred space of reflection and deepening faith. With Easter drawing nearer, this season calls us to embrace the transformative power of God’s love and the hope that arises through repentance and renewal. In moments of quiet contemplation, we can focus on our spiritual growth and consider how we might better serve our communities and share the love of Christ with those around us. This week, Dear Readers of Country Squire Magazine, let us unite in prayer, inviting God’s presence into our hearts as we continue our Lenten journey.
“I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die.”
John 11:25
As we approach the final days of Lent, we are reminded of the promise of new life that is central to our faith. Let us honour this period of preparation and pray for the courage to embrace change and renewal within ourselves and our relationships.
Heavenly Father,
We come to You on this Fifth Sunday of Lent, seeking Your guidance as we draw nearer to the celebration of Easter. Thank You for the opportunity to reflect on our lives and to seek a deeper understanding of Your love for us. We pray for the strength to let go of anything that hinders our connection with You and with others. Help us to cultivate a spirit of forgiveness and reconciliation, that we may model Your love in our interactions. As we prepare our hearts for the coming joy of resurrection, may we also recognise the call to bear our own crosses with grace and humility. Lord, instil in us a sense of hope, knowing that through faith in You, we are promised new life. May our journey lead not only to personal transformation but also inspire those around us. Amen.
God bless you all.
