Dear Readers of Country Squire Magazine,

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Joyous New Year!

As we reflect on the past year, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to each of you for your continued interest, which has made our magazine a thriving community. In particular I thank Deputy Editor James Bembridge and associate editor Sean Walsh for their steadfast support and constructive criticism. A special thanks goes out to our incredible writers whose talent and dedication have shaped the Country Squire brand – Effie Deans, Stewart Slater, John Nash, Alex Story, Paul Horgan, Nigel Bean, Joe Nutt, Roger Watson, Jack Watson, Jon Alexander, Ian Mitchell (aka Hamish Gobson), Alexia James, David Eyles, Bert Burnett, Daniel Jupp, John Musgrave, Allison Lee, Frank Haviland, John Drewry, Nicholas Engert, Vicar Nigel, Jamie Foster, Peter Harris and any others I may have forgotten. Especial thanks also to Val Descendres for her behind-the-scenes subbing. And I extend my personal thanks to Ishi and Keemee for their valuable 24/7 technical assistance, as well as to the kind sergeant at Devon and Cornwall police who deals with our many trolls.

During this festive season, we will offer a full service with at least one article per day. This will be a wonderful opportunity to showcase fresh voices while our regulars take a well-deserved break.

Please note that our social media activity will be limited over the holidays, but we have some delightful surprises in store, including a special Christmas tale penned by one of our talented writers.

Celebrate this joyful season, and may your 2026 be filled with happiness and inspiration.

Non Desistas Non Exieris.

Warmest wishes,

The Editor
