A Prayer for Summer Holidaymakers

VICAR

Heavenly Father, as the warm days of summer unfold, we lift up to You all those setting off on holiday, whether near or far. Lord, You are the Guardian of our paths, the Keeper of our steps. We ask Your protection over every traveller—on roads, in the skies, and across the seas. Grant them safety in their going out and their returning home.

Bless their time away with moments of joy, rest, and renewal. Where there is haste, bring calm; where there is weariness, bring refreshment. May the beauty of Your creation remind them of Your boundless love. Surround families and friends with laughter and peace as they share this precious time together.

Watch over those who work while others relax—the pilots, drivers, hosts, and all who serve. Strengthen them with patience and kindness. For those holidaying alone, be their companion. For those feeling anxious or uncertain, be their steady guide.

Lord, let this season be one of gratitude and connection. Wherever their adventures take them, may they return with hearts full of happy memories and spirits lifted by Your grace.

Amen.

May all who travel this summer find comfort in Your care and come home safely, refreshed in body and soul.

God bless you all, Dear Readers of Country Squire Magazine.
